Benelux Development Football Tournament Report: Round 2 Cologne – 21.10.2023

On October 21st, we held our first Benelux Gaelic Football tournament with teams and players from Leuven, Maastricht and Nijmegen taking part in a full day of Gaelic football action in Ladies and Men’s football. Here is our report from the day.

Benelux Gaelic Football Championship Final Round: Nijmegen. 17.06.2023

On the 17th of June, 2023, Nijmegen GFC hosted part of the fourth and final round of the Benelux Men’s Gaelic Football Championship. On Saturday, March 18th 2023, the Cologne Celtics GAA Club held our St. Patrick’s Weekend Invitational Hurling Tournament – the inaugural Francie O’Connor Cup. German Camogie & Hurling Cups 2022: Tournament Report 24.09.2022

On September 24th, 2022, the Cologne Celtics held the German Cups – the Chris Hennessy and Sebastian Rießbeck Cups – in Chorweiler. With the Desmond Brothers TV crew, the head of the German Embassy’s Irish Abroad Unit, and many other guests in the crowd, we enjoyed a full schedule of hard hurling and camogie matches.

We were back on the field with our “frienemies”! On Saturday, 26.06.21, the second Rhein Derby took place in Düsseldorf. Let’s hope it won’t take so long until the next derby and we bring the trophy back to Cologne.
