Save the date! On 19 August 2023, the Cologne Celtics Gaelic Sports Club will host our first-ever Family Day. This event is free and open to non-club members as well as members. It promises to be a day full of fun and action for the whole family ⭐️
Developing a youth section at the Cologne Celtics has been a crucial goal for 2023, and earlier this year, we held our first-ever youth training session. This Family Day aims to build on that development.
On the day ( Saturday, 19th August), we will present hurling/camogie and Gaelic football to the children and allow them to experience these exciting Irish sports to them. Of course, we will have our skilled coaches on hand to guide and introduce them to these sports. They will be able to test their new skills in an engaging, encouraging and safe environment.
However, it’s not just the kids who get to have fun – adults will also be looked after. They can feel free to indulge in our freshly grilled sausages and a variety of cakes and refreshments. There will also be live music, Irish dancing with the Greenwood School of Irish Dancing, and other activities throughout the day. This Family Day also gives non-members the opportunity to meet our Celtics players, members and fans, and the extended Celtics community.

The fun will get underway at 11:00am; however, our volunteers will be there from early setting up for the day. The fun will continue until 3pm.
Big thank-yous go out to Berlitz Cologne, the GAA Global Games Development Fund, and our club sponsors Jameson’s Distillery Pub, Cologne, for their sponsorship and support. We would not be able to host such events without their help.
We are already looking forward to spending a great time together with you.
